2nd Specchio study participant-partner meeting

Around sixty Genevans taking part in the study Specchio study study met with teams from the Population Epidemiology Unit on Friday 17 January 2025 at the Maison de l'enfance et de l'adolescence of the Geneva University Hospitals.

Dr Mayssam Nehme, head of the Population Epidemiology Unit, commented on a series of recent scientific findings that the researchers had been able to determine from the responses to the study questionnaires. Focus group workshops also enabled participants to share a wide range of views and ideas on the questions they are regularly asked as part of Specchio.

This sharing of experience and the richness of the exchanges on themes such as diet, mental health, physical activity and access to healthcare are essential support for the long-term success of the study, which is as close as possible to people's real experience of health.

Held several times a year to encourage active participation in the research and in Specchio, these meetings are open to anyone taking part in the study.
