18-25 years: your participation is essential!

The SARS-CoV-19 pandemic is having an impact on the physical and mental health of the entire population, at all stages of life. Children and adolescents, who are less directly vulnerable to the SARS-CoV2 virus, have not been spared the impact of the health crisis. It has tested their ability to adapt to new lifestyles: interruptions to or changes in their social or sporting lives, new study or employment patterns, online interactions, withdrawal and isolation, the potential accumulation of individual, family and social upheavals accentuated by the crisis, and uncertainties about the organisation or outcome of their immediate and future plans.
Unfortunately, the participation of 18-25 year olds in the Specchio-COVID19 studies remains insufficient, and we would like to see them better represented so that their voices, experiences, expectations and concerns can be heard. If you are in this age group and have already come for a serological test as part of the studies carried out by the Population Epidemiology Unit, don 't hesitate to join the Specchio-COVID19 project ! At first sight, only the first (initial) questionnaire may seem a little long. After that, participation takes very little time. This data is invaluable for research.
Specchio-COVID19 encourages a collective civic effort and enables young people to become directly involved in public health issues, to contribute to a better understanding of issues that concern them closely. And that's as much for their present as for their future.
